We fabricate stainless steel glass balustrades for balconies and staircases according to customer specifications and designs. This means you can specify the type of glass, post and handrail size and shape that you prefer and our highly experienced welders / boiler makers will convert your glass balustrade design to reality.

As professional Sydney / Melbourne balustrade fabricators / manufacturers, we do not 'glue on' or 'screw on' modular balustrade fittings or joiners in our stainless steel balustrade systems. Rather, we bend our tubes / profiles using computer controlled bending machines or cut them with precision / laser cutting machinery and weld the joints together before fully polishing them to an architectural finish, which leaves our stainless steel balustrades with a smooth look and feel. This process ensures that our stainless steel hand rail balustrades are reliable, long lasting and streamline, showing no unnecessary joints of fittings. Stainless Steel Semi-Framed Glass Balustrade Design - [SGBS]

Our stainless steel semi-framed glass balustrade comes with many component choices and sizes and can also be customized for any application. Some examples are below:


Semi-Framed Glass Balustrade: Round tube posts and top rail, post reducers to allow for 270° handrail clearance and D shaped glass clamps.	Semi-Framed Glass Balustrade: Round tube posts and top rail, posts join directly to top rail and D shaped glass clamps.

Frameless Glass Balustrade Design - [SGBF]

IMPORTANT: An independent or interlinking handrail is required for a frameless glass balustrade to conform to Australian Standards; AS 1288-2006 IF it protects a difference in level greater than 1000mm.

Frameless Glass-Upstand-Offset HR

Frameless Glass Balustrade: Upstands (also known as mini posts or spigots) and round tube offset handrail to comply with Australian Standards for safety and glazing.

Frameless Glass-Offset Clamp-Offset HR

Frameless Glass Balustrade: Offset adaptors and round tube offset handrail to comply with Australian Standards for safety and glazing.

Frameless Glass-Channel

Frameless Glass Balustrade: Glazing channel fixed to floor as per site requirements. This frameless glass balustrade system does not comply with Australian Standards and therefore cannot be installed unless the fall height is less than one meter.

Frameless Glass-Channel-Offset HR

Frameless Glass Balustrade: Glazing channel fixed to floor as per site requirements and round tube offset handrail to comply with Australian Standards for safety and glazing.

Frameless Glass-Channel-Round HR

Stainless Steel Framed or Framless Glass Balustrade Design Specifications:

Height: 1020mm is standard, but can be manufactured to any height.

Width: According to your site requirement.

Glass: Toughened safety glass, Grade-A certified, in accordance to AS1288-2006. Choice of clear, coloured tinted or obscure (Matelux acid etch) safety glass. Choice of 10mm or 12mm glass thicknesses.

Handrail Styles: Round, Square or Rectangular shape in any tube size.

Frame: Superior quality AISI 304 or AISI 316 marine grade stainless steel.

Finish: Satin finish / Class 4 architectural finish / buff polish.

Post Size: Choice of Small 38.1mm or Large 50.8mm in square or round tube.

Post Fixing: Floor mounted base plates and concealed with cover plates or core-drilled -depending on your site requirement. Core holes will have a diameter of 60mm and a depth of 80-100mm which will be filled with either Ramset non-shrink grout or Epoxy and concealed with cover plates.

Fittings and components commonly used in our stainless steel and glass balustrades are as below. All fittings are fully buff polished in grade 304 stainless steel or marine grade (316) as appropriate to the site of installation.

		Posts and top rail tubes are generally in square or round shapes in two different sizes. Other size stainless steel tubes are also available to builders and contractors.
		Post reducers are used between the post and handrail as a cap for the post and a support for the handrail. This fitting is welded and polished back to an architectural finish.
		Base plates are welded onto the post and are used to fix the balustrade to timber floors. Heavy duty base plates are also used wherever required.
		Cover plates are used to cover base plates and core-drilled hole fixings.
		Glass clamps: Both the square and D-Shaped round glass clamps suit any post shape; round, square, rectangular, etc.

		These are our two common offset handrail bracket designs; screw-on modular offset brackets and seamless brackets that are welded to the handrail. This component is generally used for frameless glass balustrades where the fall height is over one meter.
		Upstands -also known as mini posts or glass spigots. This component is available for top mounting as well as core holes and is used mainly in frameless glass balustrading.
